Posted on: 12/29/2009 Congratulations to Ak-O-Mak's Olympic Torch Bearers! Camp Ak-O-Mak would like to congratulate Rachelle Cadman (as seen in the Photo) and Jade Scognamillio for being selected as official Torch bearers in the Canadian Winter Olympic Torch Relay. Rachelle and Jade each ran their "leg" only three days apart, Rachelle in Waterloo on December 27th and Jade in London on December 24th. The Olympic Torch Relay is a cross-Canada event to deliver the Olympic Flame to Vancouver, British Columbia in time for the opening ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympics this February. Well done, Rachelle and Jade!! We look forward to having Rachelle and Jade tells us all about their fabulous experience this summer at Camp.
