Wed July 4th:
Happy 4th of July to our American friends! We started off the day with a wonderful early bird of swimming, running, road biking and mountain biking. After breakfast and inspection we started our morning classes. It was a very hot and sunny day so we had lots of water activities. Some of the classes included water aerobics, diving, archery, netball, kayak adventure and swimming, yay! A small group of campers headed out after an early breakfast to Sprucedale for a 32 km bike ride. We all joined together for a tasty pierogi lunch and rest hour before meeting at Easter Island Head Rock for another Team Comp activity! This afternoon we stayed cool in the lake by playing Capture the Flag in the water! The campers used paddleboards, canoes or swam to steal the other teams flag. After an early dinner we all loaded onto the buses for the Splash and Dash event! Campers either competed individually or as a relay to swim and run through a course on 9 Mile Lake. It was a ton of fun and everyone cheered on their fellow competitors. We ended off the day with ice cream at Ahmic Lake Lodge, which was a great way to finish off a busy day.
