Fri June 13th:

The water was nice and calm this morning, which made for a beautiful earlybird. There was a choice between paddling, swimming and running. The weather was a bit overcast today, but the rain held off for the morning so we were able to have some time to practice both our small boats and war canoes. After paddle practice we headed to swim practice. We then headed up to the mainhouse for a yummy lunch of tacos with chips and salsa. Due to everyones hard work paddling lately we had an extended rest hour to keep everyone nice and fresh! After rest hour and candy store the cabins got hard to work on their cabin lip syncs! Each cabin chooses a song that they want and then they make up a dance and perform it in front of the whole camp. Cabin 3 was the winner this year with their rendition of Hooked on a Feeing! Afterwards we had a wonderful dinner of fish and chips with peas and salad and we finished off the day with a guided relaxation led by one of our camp alumni Sue Porter. It was a very relaxing way to end off the day, and everyone was definitely ready for bed!
