July 26th 2018

Thursday July 26th:

We started off the day with a sleep in before breakfast to give everyone a chance to catch up on sleep after travel. After a fantastic breakfast of French toast with bacon and pineapple we had inspection and our first morning of classes! The classes this morning included swimming, tennis, archery and war canoe. Some campers will be heading to another regatta this weekend at North Bay, so we will have lots of paddling practice until then. After lunch we had rest hour and candy store, and then we met at Easter Island Head Rock for the start of Team Comp! The theme for this session is Mystery, and the campers need to work together to find the lost Camper of the Session Trophy. The teams each presented their flag, skit, cheer and team name. After team comp we had one period of classes, which included waterpolo, softball, gymnastics and more war canoe. We ended off the afternoon with open waterfront to cool down before dinner. After a delicious dinner of Swedish meatballs with rice, broccoli and cauliflower we all met at the backfield for some games! We played Hucklebuckle and Sea to Shore. The group that is heading to the North Bay Regatta spent the evening paddling to get prepared. Everyone was definitely ready for bed after a busy day!
