Hello Ak-O-Mak Alumni!

It has been another busy and beautiful summer at Ak-O-Mak.  The campers swam to Ahmic Harbour this morning, and many paddlers headed to North Bay for a regatta last Saturday.  While the place evolves with time, so much stays the same: the events, the zany counsellors, the campers who challenge themselves.

  We are looking forward to seeing you at the Camp Ak-O-Mak 90^th Reunion this Labor Day Weekend.

We have had a great response and registrations are still coming in.  Please consider reaching out to your old camp buddies via social media so that no one is left out.

We wanted to update you on a few Reunion details.

1.  Airport Shuttle:   Due to the positive response, Camp will be offering van service from Toronto Pearson Airport to Camp on Saturday Sept 1^st.    Flights would need to arrive Friday night or early Saturday (no later than 2:00 pm EST).  Remember, it’s a 3 hour trip north and we want our guests to arrive at camp in time for dinner at 6:00 pm.   Please complete the attached travel form to make a reservation.  Space will be limited.  The cost for one- way travel is $75.00 cdn
2. Bedding Rentals:  (NOT like the old days!) Camp has good quality sleeping bags, blankets, pillows and towels. Renting is especially helpful for those who are flying.  Travel lighter and rent the bulky stuff.   Special Reunion Pricing:   $25.00  cdn.
3. Bring your retro camp gear:  Let’s have a fashion show of Camp Swag from Yesteryear!
4. Funny Camp Stories:  Start thinking of your funniest camp memories as we would like to create a 90^th Reunion Book of Laughable Moments for our library.

We will see everyone at the lake.
