Founded in 1928 by Matt Mann, a professional coach and head of swimming clubs in the United States, Camp Ak-O-Mak remains Canada’s only competitive sports camp for girls and the world’s first all-girls competitive swimming camp.
Before Camp Ak-O-Mak, he also founded Camp Chikopi, the world’s first competitive swimming camp for boys, in 1920.
All driven by a desire to help girls develop self-confidence and strength, our team of counsellors will be there with the campers every step of the way.
