Ak-O-Mak camp counsellors are a vital part of our mission to create a supportive environment for campers to explore a variety of sports and activities that enhance personal growth and development
We offer on-site training for all Ak-O-Mak counsellors to ensure that they are capable of teaching the fundamentals of their sport(s)/activity to the campers.
We are looking for individuals with a First Aid certification (mandatory) and Life-guarding certification (NLS, Bronze Medallion, etc.), as well as optional qualifications such as a Boaters license, sailing or canoeing certification, coaching certification in any sport, and aerobics/fitness instructor certification.
All candidates must be over 18 years of age and possess a First Aid Certification upon application.

We have counsellor staff from all over the world. Our campers are international, and so are our counsellor staff.
Our counsellor staff are 18 years to 25 years old.
Our staff sessions are 10.5 weeks long, eight weeks or 2.2 weeks long.
